Police arrested a Jordanian and seized 281 sticks of dynamite from his Manila-area home while investigating possible international terrorism activity in the Philippines, officials said.

Police are looking at possible links between terrorist groups, particularly the Al Qaeda network directed by Osama bin Laden, and the explosives found in Hadi Yousef Alghoul’s Balanga City apartment.

Officials seized Arabic-language documents, including poems about a holy war against the United States, a police spokesman said.
