Casual Male Seeks to Close 48 More Stores

Men’s clothing retailer Casual Male Corp. asked a bankruptcy judge for permission to shut 48 unprofitable stores and hold store-closing sales at the locations.
The Canton, Mass.-based company sought Chapter 11 protection from creditors in May.
The retailer sells apparel and accessories at 606 stores in 47 states.
Shares of Casual Male rose nine-tenths of a cent to 1 cent in over-the-counter trading. The shares have plunged more than 99% in the past year.
