Elite Commandos Part of U.S. Effort

Canada revealed that elements of its elite Joint Task Force 2 commando unit were operating in Afghanistan in support of United States and anti-Taliban forces.
Defense Minister Art Eggleton, who initially said that security reasons meant he could never disclose what the unit was doing, told CTV television in Ottawa that 40 JTF2 members were in and around the southern city of Kandahar.
