Memorial Service for Conte Candoli

A memorial service for jazz trumpeter Conte Candoli will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the prayer chapel of the Church on the Way, 14344 Sherman Way, Van Nuys.
Candoli, who died last Friday, is survived by his wife, Kristen, of Bermuda Dunes; his daughter, Marcia Candoli Mitchel of West Los Angeles; his brother, Pete, of Studio City; his sister, Gloria Henke of Mishawaka, Ind.; a stepdaughter, Marla Kapoor of Oregon; and three grandchildren.
A private funeral service will be held at a later date.
