Governor’s Mansion

Re “Lot Eyed for Governor’s Estate,” Dec. 7: So the state wants to build a new mansion for the governor. If I were financially strapped, there would be no way I could go out and buy a large lot and build a new house on it. Let’s put the state’s money where it belongs in this time of fiscal crisis: back to the public state universities for the thousands of students, faculty and staff who are feeling the impact of cutbacks.
