Judge Pleads Innocent to Child Porn Charges
From Times Staff Reports
An Orange County Superior Court judge pleaded innocent in federal court Monday to charges of possessing more than 100 images of child pornography, much of it stored on his home computer’s hard drive.
Ronald C. Kline, 61, entered his plea at a brief hearing before U.S. Magistrate Judge Marc L. Goldman. Trial was set for Jan. 22.
Kline faces up to 30 years in prison if convicted. After surrendering to authorities early last month, Kline posted a $50,000 bond. He is under house detention and must wear an electronic monitoring device.
