Comedians Plan Day of Laughs at Improvathon
Comedians from across the state will take part in an Improvathon at the Livery Theater on Saturday.
From noon to midnight, improvisers hailing from Santa Maria, Palm Springs, Palo Alto, Ventura and Los Angeles will try to elicit laughs. A group of comedians from Europe will also take part. The players include the Merry Misfits of Doom, Gorilla Theatre, the SiMPS and Ventura Area Theatresports.
The competition will end near midnight with the Masters of the Galaxy competition.
Tickets for the noon-to-8 p.m. session cost $10, as do tickets for the 8 p.m.-to-midnight show. The theater is at 34 N. Palm St. in Ventura.
