Mart’s Video Studied for Leads to Missing Girl
Sheriff’s detectives searching for a missing 6-year-old Norwalk girl spent Thursday studying frame by frame video taken at a gas station minimarket where the girl might have been spotted.
Jaqueline “Jay†Saavedra, missing since last Friday, was seen on a bus that day with a man, the bus driver told authorities. After detectives released a composite photo of the man, a tipster came forward and said he saw the man and the girl at a Cerritos gas station.
The girl was reported missing Friday evening. Her mother said she last saw Jaqueline about 3 p.m. near their apartment complex in the 14100 block of Shoemaker Road.
Jaqueline is about 4 feet tall and weighs 60 pounds. When last seen, she was wearing blue shorts and an oversized white T-shirt bearing an image of the cartoon character Tweety Bird.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Department at (562) 863-8711.
