Family of Farm Worker Who Died Sues Employer
Relatives of an Oxnard farm worker found dead last year in a fertilizer tank he was supposed to clean have filed a wrongful death lawsuit against his employer.
The suit alleges that MVP Properties and its owner, Prasad Mummaneni, had improperly trained employee Miguel Lopez.
Lopez and co-worker Palemon Rangel Yanez were found floating in a 1,000-gallon liquid fertilizer tank a year ago on a farm near Fillmore.
Investigators ruled the deaths an accident.
