Scottie Pippen made it clear that he knows Michael Jordan, and Bryant isn’t Jordan no matter how hard he tries.
When asked how he felt about Bryant’s injured ribs, Pippen said he didn’t even know the Laker was hurt. Pippen was skeptical because Bryant went on to score 25 of his game-high 28 points in the second half.
“He’s trying to be like Mike,” said Pippen, referring to Jordan’s effort in Game 5 of the 1997 NBA finals at Utah, when Jordan led the Bulls to a dramatic victory despite playing with severe stomach flu.
