TOP PROSPECTS
Gerard Warren, Florida, 6-3, 312--Cat-like reflexes help him shed blockers and get to the point of attack with lightning quickness. A sure top-10 pick despite his questionable work ethic.
Justin Smith, Missouri, 6-4, 277--Dominating pass rusher set a school record with 11 sacks. As fast as anyone off the line of scrimmage. Has terrific instincts. A lock for the first round.
Richard Seymour, Georgia, 6-6, 301--Has a rare ability to read and react with tremendous quickness off the line. Needs some work on his pass-rushing technique. Should go in the first round.
Jamal Reynolds, Florida State, 6-3, 264--A sack artist, Reynolds is a pure pass rusher. Late first-rounder.
Andre Carter, California, 6-4, 261--May need to put on weight to be effective against big NFL tackles. Has a quick first step and rarely gets caught out of position. Late first or early second round.
BEST OF REST
Damione Lewis, Miami, 6-2, 297--A top-10 choice if not for injuries. Marcus Stroud, Georgia, 6-5, 305--Bull rusher. Kenny Smith, Alabama, 6-3, 288--Versatile. Shaun Rogers, Texas, 6-4, 331--Massive run stopper. Cedric Scott, Southern Mississippi, 6-5, 274--Solid pass rusher. DeLawrence Grant, Oregon State, 6-3, 257--Extremely quick. Casey Hampton, Texas, 6-1, 321--Holds his ground.
