Services Scheduled for John Ferraro

A vigil service for Los Angeles City Council President John Ferraro will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Brendan Church, 310 S. Van Ness Ave. Cardinal Roger M. Mahony will celebrate a funeral liturgy for Ferraro on Monday at 10 a.m., also at St. Brendan.
The burial will be private.
Ferraro, whose 35-year tenure made him Los Angeles’ longest-serving council member, died Tuesday after a long battle with cancer. He was 76.
