Principals Turn Down Protest by Dana Hills
A protest filed by Dana Hills following a loss to Mission Viejo in a South Coast League girls’ track and field meet last month has been denied.
League principals voted, 5-1, to let Mission Viejo’s 69-67 victory stand. Dana Hills Coach Adam Robbins had protested the disqualification of his shotput team, which was found to have used an underweighted shot during part of the competition on March 29.
The disqualification broke a 67-67 tie and kept alive the Diablos’ 19-year league winning streak.
