Lee Earns More Gold for South Koreans
South Korean Sun-hee Lee followed her teammate Jae-eun Jung to the top of the podium when she took gold in the under 147 pounds category.
Lee beat Trude Gundersen of Norway, 6-3, in the final.
Angel Valodia Matos Fuentes, or Volodia as he prefers to be known, became Cuba’s first taekwondo gold medalist, beating Faissal Ebnoutalib of Germany, 3-1, in the men’s under-176-pound category.
Estrada Garibay of Mexico defeated Roman Livaja of Sweden to win the men’s bronze medal. Sarah Stevenson of Britain beat Yoriko Okamoto for the women’s bronze.
