Leinart completed 27 of 43 passes for 401 yards and four touchdowns to lead Mater Dei to a near-upset of Concord De La Salle, the nation’s top-ranked team and owner of a national-record 103-game winning streak. However, a 34-yard field goal try in the final minute was wide.
