Thousand Oaks officials seek three people with an interest and expertise in the arts to serve on the city’s arts commission.
The 11-member commission aims to promote the cultural development of the city. Commission members have a number of duties, including making recommendations to the City Council on whether to accept certain art donations.
In addition to being a city resident, applicants must file conflict-of-interest statements. The application deadline is Oct. 20.
Applicants will be interviewed by two council members, who will then make recommendations to the entire council. The terms are expected to begin by year’s end and run through October 2002.
Applicants can visit the city clerk’s office at City Hall, 2100 Thousand Oaks Blvd., or call (805) 449-2151.
