Cypress Wins in Women’s Golf

Russamee Gulyanamitta shot a two-over-par 72 Monday at Alta Vista to lead Cypress past Saddleback, Fullerton and Orange Coast in an Orange Empire Conference women’s golf match.

Gulyanamitta, 24, was runner-up in the U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links championship in North Carolina in July.

Cypress finished with a 345 total. Saddleback shot 351, Orange Coast 374 and Fullerton 378.

Santa Ana 2, Rio Hondo 0--Tony Salas and George Galvez scored in the second half for Santa Ana (3-0-2).
