Families are invited to observe California’s 150th birthday at a Celebrate the California Sesquicentennial event from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Saturday at the Mission Viejo Library, 25209 Marguerite Parkway.
A performance by Farley the Fiddler and a gold-panning demonstration are planned for children 4 and older. The program is co-sponsored by the Mission Viejo Heritage Committee and Mission Viejo Library. Admission is free.
