Boy Hospitalized After Being Hit by Car
A 4-year-old boy running back and forth across a Panorama City street was in critical condition after being hit by a car Sunday night, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The boy darted across Chase Street, east of Cedros Avenue, about 7 p.m. when a Nissan Pathfinder struck him, said Officer Danielle Lee of LAPD’s Valley Traffic division.
Lee said the driver of the Nissan was not speeding and did not see the boy until it was too late.
The boy was airlifted to Childrens Hospital Los Angeles, where he was expected to undergo surgery Sunday night.
