Easter Seals Tri-Counties will celebrate the grand opening of its new preschool and the future site of its child-care center on Friday.

Rep. Elton Gallegly (R-Simi Valley) and Assemblywoman Hannah-Beth Jackson (D-Santa Barbara) will participate in the ribbon-cutting.

Community members and business owners can purchase bricks as part of a fund-raising project called “Make a Difference in the Life of a Child One Brick at a Time.â€

“They can have a personal message or business name engraved on a brick that will line the outside play area on the preschool grounds,†said Janice Rossi, development director for the charity. “Patrons can show their support for their children’s growth and recognize their business, family or friends.â€

The bricks, which can be purchased for $50 each, will be able to display up to two lines of 15 characters each. Proceeds will benefit Easter Seals preschool programs.

The event is open to the public. Wine and hors d’oeuvres, donated by Vons, an Easter Seals corporate sponsor, will be served.
