Film Roman Agrees to Sell 51% Stake to Firm in India
Film Roman Inc., North Hollywood, said it has agreed to sell a 51% stake in the company to India’s Pentamedia Graphics Ltd. for a $15-million investment.
Film Roman is best known for producing the animation used in “The Simpsons†and another one of the Fox television network’s popular animated programs, “King of the Hill.â€
The animation producer has won 10 Emmys since it was founded by Phil Roman in 1984.
Pentamedia is one of India’s leading entertainment software firms with revenue of more than $100 million.
