In the Century League:

Canyon 18, Orange 6--Jon Pease scored six goals and Chris Meyer had five for the visiting Comanches (16-8, 2-2), who led, 9-1, after the first quarter and opened up a 13-2 halftime advantage.

Phil Pease scored four goals for Orange (8-11, 0-3) and goalkeeper Pete Tariffa kept the Panthers in the game by making 11 saves.

Foothill 23, El Modena 2--Brian Alexander scored five goals and Wes Fox and Geoff Wills had four each for Foothill (15-11), which jumped out to a 12-0 halftime lead.

In the Empire League:

Katella 10, Loara 5--Kevin Preus and Nick Donnolly scored three goals each and Jonny Jara made 11 saves for Katella (8-11, 2-1). Jeff Perez scored three goals for Loara.

In the Freeway League:

La Habra 17, Fullerton 4--Josh Jewett had five goals and Gabe Pacheco had four to lead La Habra, which is undefeated in league.

Sonora 15, Troy 9--Jason Sumptner scored seven goals and Luigi Riccihelli added four for the visiting Raiders (2-2 in league). Dustin Simmons made seven saves for Sonora, which led, 10-6, at intermission. Evan Markstrum had four goals and Garrett Dallas and Kevan Koskie added two each for Troy (13-12, 2-2), which also received 19 saves from goalie David Mahakian. Jimmy Garry also scored for Troy.

In the Sunset League:

Edison 9, Marina 7--Edison’s Matt Budnick and Bryan Hoffman scored three goals each and sophomore Cody Tague added two goals and six steals for the host Chargers. Mike Alvino and Dave Wagner scored two goals apiece for Marina (2-2 in league), while Nick Espinoza made eight saves for Edison (19-6, 3-1).

Esperanza 10, Huntington Beach 5--Tyler Morales scored three goals and James Low, Kyle Stanley and Jamie Burmeister added two each for the host Aztecs (12-8, 3-1).

Huntington Beach is 1-3 in league.
