The city’s Public Safety Department and Irvine Unified School District have received two grants to help continue a program that helps students considered at risk of dropping out of school. The grants, totaling $24,000 will be spent at Irvine High School and at the district’s alternative high school, S.E.L.F., in the Project Success School Community Policing Partnership Program.

City Council members approved the receipt of the two grants Tuesday.
