Boy, 11, Injured When Car Collides With School Bus
One student suffered minor injuries Tuesday when a school bus collided with a car on the Ventura Freeway in Burbank, authorities said.
The 11-year-old boy, whose identity wasn’t released, had a cut on the back of his head and was taken to Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank. None of the other 15 children, who were traveling from Summitt View School in Sherman Oaks, was injured.
The accident occurred about 3:40 p.m. as the bus was headed east on the freeway near Forest Lawn Drive.
The car struck the bus, causing it to spin around on the freeway, CHP Officer Richard Perez said. Neither driver suffered injuries, he said.
