Window Washer Dead After 40-Foot Fall at Getty Museum

LOS ANGELES — A window washer at the J. Paul Getty Museum fell 40 feet to his death early Wednesday.
Javier Navarette, 42, of Arleta was attached to scaffolding that was being moved by people on the ground when it tipped over, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department said.
The accident, which occurred at about 4:43 a.m., was being investigated by Cal/OSHA and Getty museum officials.
