Bell-Jeff Hosting Memorial Game for Jenkins
- Share via
A memorial boys’ basketball game will be played between host Bell-Jeff and Ribet Academy at 7:30 tonight in honor of Lawrence Jenkins, a former Bell-Jeff player who died last year.
Jenkins was 17 when he collapsed on Nov. 29 during practice at Ribet Academy, the school he had transferred to for his senior year after playing three seasons at Bell-Jeff.
An autopsy revealed Jenkins suffered a blockage of a major artery that supplies blood to the heart.
