Mudslides Kill 4 as Hundreds Flee Rains

Mudslides killed at least four people and hundreds more were evacuated from their homes as heavy rains inundated the Italian region of Liguria. Rescue teams found the bodies of a couple buried under bricks and mud near San Remo on the Italian Riviera, the country’s northwestern coast, as rains continued to lash the region. Two more people were killed elsewhere in the region. In San Remo, a town renowned for its usually mild climate and flower-lined streets, authorities ordered 250 people to leave their homes after a river threatened to overflow.
