Assault Gun Deadline
* Re “Deadline to Register Assault Guns Under Beefed-Up Law Nears,†Nov. 20:
State Sen. Don Perata (D-Oakland), author of California’s most sweeping assault weapons registration bill, now admits that he never really expected gun owners to embrace registration. He arrogantly remarks, “If they really feel strongly about it, they can move with their guns to another state.†I have a better idea. Let Perata move to another state and quit infringing on our rights.
