Gardena 29, San Fernando 19--Dennis Smith scored two touchdowns and Derrick Lewis intercepted a pass with 1:50 left to preserve the victory for the Panthers (8-4) at home.
Byron Green gained 65 yards in six carries for Gardena.
Harbor City Narbonne 21, Chatsworth 12--Lyntrel Smith rushed for two touchdowns in the last 3:26 to rally Narbonne (7-5) at Chatsworth.
Smith’s six-yard scoring run and a two-point conversion gave the Gauchos a 15-12 lead, and they recovered the kickoff at the Chatsworth 25. Four plays later, Smith scored on a three-yard run.
Chatsworth (4-8) took a 12-7 halftime lead when Brad Himes completed an eight-yard touchdown pass to Sam Riley with 16 seconds left in the first half.
Marcus O’Keith rushed for 174 yards in 22 carries for Narbonne.
Fremont 42, Canoga Park 22--Abe Escobar passed for 246 yards and four touchdowns as the Pathfinders (7-5) won at home.
Kenneth Eatmon caught four passes for 139 yards and two touchdowns and also scored on a 39-yard run.
Fremont’s Mark Bradford scored on runs of 19 and 25 yards. Gary Smith rushed for 144 yards and a touchdown in 17 carries.
Roosevelt 41, Locke 14--Manuel Esparza rushed or 150 yards, Robert Smith gained 141 and Angel Cruz had 107 as the Roughriders (9-3) won at Roosevelt.
Esparza scored touchdowns on a 34-yard pass from Danny Ramirez and runs of eight and 23 yards.
Roosevelt led, 21-8, at halftime.
Locke (5-7) pulled to within 21-14 in the third quarter before Roosevelt scored 20 unanswered points.
