Two hundred turkeys will be given to local churches and food banks Friday as part of Operation Gobble, an effort of eight California water companies that want to make sure needy families have food on Thanksgiving. The 200 turkeys going to Santa Ana charities for distribution have been provided by the Southern California Water Co. in Placentia, which supplies water to 75 California communities.
