Westside Council Plans Workshops

The Westside Community Council will sponsor a series of community planning workshops to identify new projects and opportunities to improve the neighborhood.
The next workshop will be held 9 a.m. to noon Nov. 19 at the Avenue Adult Center, 550 N. Ventura Ave.
At the first workshop, held in July, residents set up a series of guidelines and revisited a “Vision” set up by the organization in 1996, council member Lauri Flack said.
At this month’s meeting, residents will discuss affordable housing, live/work space and the potential development of hillsides, Flack said. There will be a final series of workshops Jan. 17-20, Flack said.
