In other Division I matches:
Irvine 3, Canyon Country Canyon 0--Justin Marayag had 71 assists as the second-seeded Vaqueros (15-1) won, 15-4, 15-10, 15-5, to advance to play Santa Margarita.
Corona del Mar 3, Channel Islands 0--Greg Stampley had 18 kills for third-seeded Corona del Mar (19-1), which won, 15-8, 15-13, 15-8, to advance to play El Toro.
El Toro 3, Claremont 0--Senior Jimmy Pelzel, headed for UC Irvine on a scholarship, had 22 kills as the visiting Chargers (14-2) won, 15-1, 15-3, 15-13.
Marina 3, San Gabriel 1--Sophomore Andrew Wilson had eight aces and Jeff Wootton had 15 kills for the host Vikings (17-1), who won, 15-1, 13-15, 15-4, 15-6. Marina advanced to play Newport Harbor.
In Division II:
Foothill 3, Garden Grove 0--Junior Ryan Burgess had 45 assists, Kevin Logan had 17 kills for the Knights (14-2), who won, 15-8, 15-3, 15-12. Foothill will play top-seeded Santa Barbara.
Eduardo Rodriguez had 17 kills for Garden Grove (12-8).
Mater Dei 3, South Pasadena 1--Brian Costanzo had 16 kills to lead Mater Dei (11-4), which won, 15-6, 8-15, 15-12, 15-11. Mater Dei will play Goleta Dos Pueblos.
Woodbridge 3, Valencia 1--Jason Liljestrom had 34 assists, nine digs and eight blocks for Woodbridge (12-5), which won, 15-6, 15-4, 11-15, 15-2. Woodbridge advanced to play Santa Barbara San Marcos.
Scott Sebak had 13 kills and Jordan Winder 11 digs for the Warriors (12-5).
In Division III:
Laguna Beach 3, St. Margaret’s 1--Jesse Westgaard had 19 kills for Laguna Beach (9-11), which won 15-4, 15-6, 10-15, 15-12 and advanced to play second-seeded West Hills Chaminade.
Abe Maruf had 11 kills for St. Margaret’s (17-2).
Whittier Christian 3, Lancaster Paraclete 0--Tim Layton had 18 kills and Steve Zieman had 10 kills for Whittier Christian, which won, 15-6, 15-4, 15-5.
