Newport Internet Firm Gets $5-Million Infusion

MyDrugRep.com, a sales channel for the pharmaceutical industry to market its products to physicians, said Monday that it has picked up $5 million in initial funding from a venture capital company.
The Newport Beach Internet firm said in a press release that Hummer Winblad Venture Partners, as part of its investment, will have one of its partners, Dan Beldy, serve on the board of MyDrugRep.com. The start-up was founded by Quang X. Pham, the company’s chief executive.
