Wayne Leland Paschal; Korean War Veteran
Wayne Leland Paschal died Thursday at home in Ventura after a brief illness. He was 67.
Paschal was born Aug. 2, 1932, in Ventura. He attended school locally before joining the U.S. Army and serving in the Korean War. He worked for several years for Pacific Bell.
Paschal was a member of American Legion Post No. 339 in Ventura.
Paschal is survived by two sons, Charles and Richard Paschal, both of Ventura; a daughter, Suellen Raper of Paso Robles; a sister, Edrie Gerhardt of Ventura; five grandchildren; a niece; and nephew.
Paschal was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine, who died in 1987.
There will be visitation from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Ted Mayr Funeral Home in Ventura, with a graveside service at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park in Ventura.
The family suggests memorial contributions in Paschal’s name be made to a favorite charity.
Arrangements are being handled by Ted Mayr Funeral Home in Ventura.
