Component Maker Inks $3 Million in Orders
Newport Corp., an Irvine maker of high-precision components, said Tuesday that it has received orders totaling $3 million for its LaserWeld Automated Photonics Packaging Systems that will be used in packaging solid-state laser components for a major manufacturer of fiber-optic communications components.
The equipment is scheduled to be delivered over the next two quarters.
The company did not identify the buyer.
