Anaheim Blaze Guts Mobile Home

A fire in a mobile home park in Anaheim destroyed one unit late Saturday while the occupants were away for the evening.
The blaze at the Friendly Village Mobile Home Park, 5815 E. La Palma Ave., engulfed the home at 10:30 p.m., according to fire officials at MetroNet, which serves the city of Anaheim. About 20 firefighters extinguished the blaze in a little more than 20 minutes. One firefighter was slightly injured when shards of glass penetrated his boot.
The fire is under investigation, but officials said the cause does not appear to be suspicious. Damage was estimated at $50,000.
