The African Millennium Foundation, a nonprofit organization in Beverly Hills committed to the social and economic empowerment of Africans, has launched Operation Mozambique, a food, clothing and medicine drive to assist the flood-ravaged nation.
Organizers are asking the people of Orange County to donate food, clothing, tents, sleeping bags, blankets, household goods, medicine--especially for cholera and malaria--as well as monetary contributions.
Tax-deductible donations can be brought to African Corner in Costa Mesa, 2584 Newport Blvd., Tuesdays through Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Information: (949) 650-7993.
