Tuesday is California primary election day.*

Twenty-three candidates for president are listed on the California primary election ballot. Unlike previous years, this primary is open, meaning all the candidates are listed together and voters can cross party lines to vote for whomever they want. Some candidates on the ballot have already dropped out of the race, including Utah Sen. Orrin Hatch, real estate mogul Donald Trump, publisher Steve Forbes and conservative activist Gary Bauer.

Some familiar names are missing, most notably Reform Party founder Ross Perot (https://www.perot.org) and Pat Buchanan (https://www.gopatgo2000.com).
