Man Arrested in Alleged Sexual Assault of Boy
LANCASTER — A 40-year-old man was arrested Friday on suspicion of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a 15-year-old boy who was allegedly abducted while waiting for a bus at a city park, officials said.
Vincent Joe Esposito was arrested at his apartment in Lancaster and held in lieu of $100,000 bail, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The boy told deputies that he was waiting for the bus Thursday morning when Esposito forced him into a car at gunpoint and took him to an apartment where he was held overnight. The boy, who had been reported missing, was returned to the park the next morning, and led investigators to the apartment where he was assaulted, the department said.
Deputies said they recovered evidence in the apartment that supported the boy’s story.
