3 Plead Guilty in Frat Alcohol Death
BIG RAPIDS, Mich. — Three men pleaded guilty Thursday to charges related to the alcohol death of a Ferris State University freshman who was playing a drinking game at an underground fraternity.
Robert Tahir Markjha, 20, and Barry Michael Bradley, 19, of Flushing, pleaded guilty to furnishing alcohol to a minor causing death, which is a felony.
Erik Bannister, 22, pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor counts of furnishing alcohol to a minor.
Stephen Petz, 19, died March 15. Tests showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.42%.
Markjha said he and others argued for 15 minutes about who would take Petz to the hospital.
