Kevin Green; Orange County Industrial Developer
Kevin Green, 45, Orange County developer of industrial properties. Scion of the family that founded and operates the Los Angeles-based Seeley Co. real estate brokerage, Green grew up in Hancock Park and attended the private Harvard School and USC. He began his career working for the family business, but soon formed his own Green Development firm, based in Newport Beach and specializing in industrial projects. For the last decade he had worked with Rusty Turner and his Turner Development Corp. on projects created by the two firms. Known to friends and family as “Chief,†Green was a forceful president of the more than 3,200-member Bayshores Community Assn. He led the group’s opposition to a major expansion plan of the Balboa Bay Club in 1991, even though he was also an active member of the club. The father of two sons, Green coached several youth sports teams and served on boards of groups that support youngsters’ activities. On Friday in Newport Beach of brain cancer.
