YORBA LINDA
Candidates for City Council races have begun filing papers to have their names placed on the Nov. 7 ballot.
In Yorba Linda, businessman Tom Lindsey filed nomination papers at City Hall on Friday for one of three council seats up for election this year.
Councilman Mark Schwing said he intends to seek reelection, but has not yet filed. Councilman Henry W. Wedaa is debating between a race for reelection or for one of two local water boards, and Councilwoman Barbara W. Kiley has said she will not seek reelection this year.
Ten others have pulled papers for the three Yorba Linda seats, according to the city clerk’s office. They have until Aug. 16 to file, if Kiley does not file before the Aug. 11 deadline.
