GRANADA HILLS — Police arrested a 41-year-old man Wednesday morning on suspicion of possessing explosives, said LAPD spokesman Don Cox.
Detectives from the criminal conspiracy section of the Los Angeles Police Department arrested Daniel Bonczek about 11:15 a.m. at his Granada Hills home in the 16500 block of McKeever Street, Cox said.
He was booked at the Van Nuys Jail, where he was being held in lieu of $500,000 bail.
Investigators declined to describe the amount or type of explosives Bonczek allegedly had, or what he planned to do with them, according to Cox.
