WEST COVINA — A man apparently shot his wife to death Monday at their home in an affluent, gated neighborhood before turning the gun on himself, West Covina police said.
Officer Rudy Lopez said the man left a note, but the motive was not immediately clear. The identities of the couple, both about 60, were withheld pending notification of relatives.
Lopez said the man called police about 9:50 a.m., saying he had just shot his wife and intended to kill himself.
Upon entering the home, police found the bodies in an upstairs bedroom, Lopez said.
