We’re Not Trying to Soft-Pedal Tour

I would like to commend the L.A. Times for finally giving the Tour de France the coverage it deserves.

Cycling in this country is a sport that is little understood or appreciated. Most of us will never really know how difficult it is to hit a 90-mph fastball, but all you have to do is dust off that old 10-speed sitting in the garage and start pedaling down to San Diego at an average speed of 30 mph. You’ll immediately gain a new respect for Lance Armstrong.
