WESTMINSTER
In response to a petition signed by 58 residents to remove their neighborhood from the city’s proposed 30-year redevelopment plan, city officials are holding a community meeting at Westminster High School’s cafeteria tonight at 7 p.m. A final vote on the $260-million Infrastructure Revitalization Plan is scheduled for the City Council’s next meeting Wednesday.
Charles D’Auria, who collected and presented the signatures, said he will attend the community meeting but believes redevelopment zoning for his neighborhood of 70 homes close to the Westminster Mall, along with much of the city, is a foregone conclusion.
“We’ve been snookered,” D’Auria said.
