The City Council recently rejected a proposed contract with Waters & Faubel to produce a full-color brochure urging residents to register and vote in the March election. The 3-2 vote came amid concerns that opponents of Measure F, the Safe and Healthy Communities Initiative aimed at halting a proposed airport at the retired El Toro Marine Corps Air Station, could hold the city liable for damages if plans for the airport are quashed.
