The City Council decided to continue public hearings on a zoning amendment that would permit bed and breakfasts within the Old Town area. As the result of a mixed response from residents at Monday’s city meeting, the council voted to host a public information workshop at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall. Public hearings on the matter will resume at the Feb. 18 City Council meeting.
The council is proposing the Residential Conservation Overlay Zone amendment as a way to preserve the city’s historic homes.
