The New Courses

In the past year, 15 new public golf courses have opened in the Southland, including two in Orange County--Aliso Viejo and Westridge golf clubs. There are also 14 courses currently under construction in the region.

The Auld Course in Chula Vista, on Proctor Valley Road, expected opening in December.
Barona 1000 Wildcat Canyon Road, Lakeside. On Barona Indian Reservation in San Diego County, expected opening this summer.
CrossCreek in Temecula, west of Interstate 15 near Rancho California exit, expected opening spring 2001.
Lost Canyons 4600 1/2 Bennett Road, Simi Valley, 18 of 36 holes expected to open in the fall, the next 18 expected to follow a couple months later. (805) 522-4653.

Oak Crest in Chino Hills, west of Highway 71, expected to open in fall 2001.
