You played a big role on your sister Selena’s Grammy-winning “Live” album in 1993, and now you’re nominated as leader of your own group. How will it feel if you win this time?
It’ll be great. . . . I’m just happy that finally there are some more Latin categories. It used to be a group like us, they’d put you in Mexican Regional with someone like a Luis Miguel. . . . He’s famous everywhere. And then you’re dealing with a band out of Texas that’s got fans in Texas and maybe in Mexico. It wasn’t fair then. It’s better now.
